Brief History of the region.TBRNA, like any other Region was formed to fulfill our primary purpose, to carry a message of hope to the still suffering addict. This is a brief history of our struggles to form this new region. In 1988, Lone Star Regional Service Conference created a committee to research splitting the region, but no action was taken. At the April 1993 LSRSC, a open quote "reformation" committee was created to look into the feasibility of a regional split versus making drastic changes in the current structure with no split. In an autonomous move, the Houston Area created the Regional Formation Committee on August 22, 1993. Invitations were sent to areas through out the Lone Star Region. December 4, was a working forum, a motion was made and passed that we begin the regional transitional process on Feb 12, 1994. Elections were held and the 35 people attending voted to become the Tejas Bluebonnet Region of NA. The Region was then seated at the 1995 WSC. |
